Vote for MMW Students in International Rube Goldberg Competition
Middle School students in Minnetonka need you to vote for their Rube Goldberg machine, which has advanced as one of 11 semifinalists.

The MMW Rube Goldberg team is one of 11 semifinalists in an international competition and need your vote! Click here to visit their page and be sure to then click the Facebook "Like" button, which casts your vote. Voting runs May 1-10.
Webster's New World Dictionary describes Rube Goldberg as "a comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform a simple operation."
MMW students have had a lot of fun working on a 22-step process to hammer one nail since October.

Meeting weekly after school for an hour and a half, the group worked with Mrs. Ziebarth and Mrs. Scotting to design their machines. They researched other teams and their winning (or losing) designs.
They used 21st Century skills to not only build and design, but to also collaborate and work effectively with other students with the same goal in mind.

The group named their machine “Everything but the Kitchen Sink”, which is fitting based on the many items necessary to perform the simple task of hammering one nail.
