AAdHungry in America: A Jewish Response

Two Sunday brunch sessions and a session on Monday, April 30 at 7:30 pm are sponsored by Adath Jeshurun and the national hunger advocacy organization MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. On April 15 Earl Schwartz of Hamline University will speak about "Stolen from the Poor--Jewish Sources on Tzedakah". On April 22 U of M professors Tracey Deutsch and Joe Soss will speak about "Policy and Prejudice" Efforts to Reshape the Poor in America". The final session on April 30 at 7:30 pm "What Is a Jewisih Response to Hunger?" features Abby J. Leibman, President and CEO of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, based in Los Angeles, California. RSVP at least 5 days in advance to 952.545.2424 or tobic@adath.net. Suggested donation for April 15 and 22: $8 per session to Adath Jeshurun. For April 30 Donations to MAZON are requested, in honor of Rabbi Harold Kravitz for his national leadership in MAZON.
