Two Sunday brunch sessions and a session on Monday, April 30 at 7:30 pm are sponsored by Adath Jeshurun and the national hunger advocacy organization MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. On April 15 Earl Schwartz of Hamline University will speak about "Stolen from the Poor--Jewish Sources on Tzedakah". On April 22 U of M professors Tracey Deutsch and Joe Soss will speak about "Policy and Prejudice" Efforts to Reshape the Poor in America". The final session on April 30 at 7:30 pm "What Is a Jewisih Response to Hunger?" features Abby J. Leibman, President and CEO of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, based in Los Angeles, California.
