Girl Scout Brownie Troop 17811, consisting of 3rd graders from in Golden Valley, will host a Girl Scout World Thinking Day featuring the 2012 theme "You Can Save the Planet."
Troops have been asked to set up booths with Games, Musical Instruments, Crafts or Planet Saving Information. The "thinking" behind the choices is to demonstrate that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun, and to promote reducing, reusing and recycling.
For example, Troop 17811 will play games of checkers using bottle caps with cereal box boards. Daisy Troop 16293 will play games of catch with balled up foil and cut out milk jugs.
