LMFSC Winter Skating Extravaganza and Winter Clothing Drive

Looking for FREE family fun with a purpose?  Head to the Minnetonka Ice Arena on Saturday, December 3 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. to enjoy a skating exhibition and open skating, do some holiday shopping and make a difference by helping local children and families-in-need of warm winter clothing. The Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club (LMFSC) presents the ninth annual Winter Extravaganza including individual and synchronized skating performances by award-winning, state and nationally-recognized competitors. Complimentary snacks and beverages are served plus free use of hockey and figure skates during open skating. In addition to the show, attendees are welcome to shop the silent auction featuring items from local restaurants, retailers, and service providers including doggie sleepovers at ADOGO Pet Hotel, a girl's night of beauty with hairstyling and make-up applications, and many hand-crafted accessories.  Auction proceeds fund the Windjammers synchronized skating team travel expenses.  In addition, the LMFSC Junior Board is proud to support the Hopkins Family Resource Center with a Winter Warm Wear clothing drive for children and families-in-need.  Bring your donation of new or gently-used winter jackets, snow pants, winter boots and new hats and mittens for ages newborn through late teens to the arena on Saturday.  Donations accepted Friday, December 2 - Sunday, December 4 in the front lobby of the Minnetonka Ice Arena.
