Adath Jeshurun Congregation in Minnetonka celebrates the passions of a variety of talented members of the local Jewish community, with diverse interests from jewelry design to children’s literature to jazz. As part of Adath's Synaplex Shabbat on April 28, there will be activities taking place all Saturday morning. Besides the traditional Shabbat Morning Service these activities will take place:
“What I Do and Why I Do It”, a panel discussion exploring why people are passionate about their work:
- Sara Goldfine Baratz—owner and designer of SBG Designs Jewelry, specializing in Fashion Jewelry and Custom Fine Jewelry
- Arne Fogel—jazz singer, broadcaster and educator
- Debra Greenblatt—artist of realistic portrayals of botanical subjects
- Bernard Meier—goldsmith with George Sawyer Designs, creating unique jewelry
- Dori Weinstein—author of YaYa and YoYo children’s book series
- Gloria Fredkove, Moderator—actress, singer, stand-up comic and writer
