PHOTOS: Host Minnetonka Moves to 4-0 at Tipoff Classic
The boys' basketball team downed Buffalo 59-47, thanks to a 31-9 second-half spurt.
The Minnetonka boys' basketball team utilized a 31-9 second-half run to help the Skippers to a 59-47 victory over Buffalo on Saturday. The two teams met as the finale of the 10th Annual Breakdown Tip Off Classic at Minnetonka High School as part of a 26-team slate that included many of the state's top teams and highly-recruited individuals.
Capacity crowds filled both gymnasiums for most of the 13-game event, and the host Skippers didn't disappoint the home crowd in the nightcap.
Latrell Love netted 23 points for Minnetonka, who found themselves down 29-23 at the half before igniting the second-half offensive outburst. Joe Risinger added 12 points for the Skippers.

Minnetonka improved to 4-0 with the victory and will next play Maranatha Christian Adademy, 75-67 victims to Dawson-Boyd on Saturday also at the Tipoff Classic, on Thursday, Dec. 15.
