The launch party for "Saving Stripes: A Kitty's Story," written by Minnetonka teen Justin Anderson was a huge success.

(Plymouth, Minn.) - A very successful launch party took place on June 28 for the book, Saving Stripes: A Kitty’s Story, written by teen author Justin M. Anderson, 14, of Minnetonka.

All 50 books on hand for the event, which took place at The Adopt-A-Pet Shop in Plymouth, Minn., sold out, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the non-profit. The Adopt-A-Pet Shop provides a place where rescues can show off the animals they have available for adoption.

Saving Stripes: A Kitty’s Story is the true story of the mother cat and three kittens Anderson and his mother came across in the woods near their home last summer. Several of the boy’s neighbors helped to catch the family, then Anderson’s parents got the cats to the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.
