Mini-Hops Girls Competitive Compulsory Gymnasts End Their Season at the State Championship

End of the regular season for Mini-Hops girls’ compulsory gymnast and getting ready for next year.  With the dedication of Coaches Gabrielle Grier and Becky Schneider, level 3 team had its best season in years.  There was only one meet which level 3 did not take home a first place trophy, however still received a 2nd place trophy.   Many of the gymnasts will probably move up a level so it will be interesting to see what next year’s season conveys.  Applauses to coach Gabrielle, Becky and their support staff which made it happen right.

As gymnasts move up in levels, so does the degree of training and difficulties in routines.  There were many challenges this season with the levels 4 and 5 to include injuries and newly developed routines on uneven bars, beam and floor.  However the girls in those levels have honed their routines and are looking forward with great enthusiasm to next season.

Although the season is over for the compulsory girls, they have one more fun meet and will be joining their older Optional teammates at Disney World in Orlando, Florida in January 2014.  Looking forward to see how they do.

Keely A. (Plymouth), scored 9.400 on vault and tied for 5th, 9.250 on uneven bars and tied for 3rd, 8.650 on beam and tied for 9th, 9.400 on floor and placed 7th.  Her final score of 36.700 tied her for 1st on all-around.

AnaPaula A. (Maple Grove), scored 9.250 on vault and tied for 20th, 9.250 on uneven bars and tied for 3rd, 9.000 on beam and tied for 2nd, 9.250 on floor tied for 9th.  Her final score of 36.650 tied her for 4th on all-around.

Sophia N. (Minnetonka), scored 8.875 on vault and tied for 52nd, 9.375 on uneven bars and placed 2nd, 8.700 on beam and tied for 6th, 9.650 on floor and placed 1st.  Her final score of 37.475 placed her 5th on all-around.

Paige M. (Plymouth), scored 9.350 on vault and placed 11th, 9.425 on uneven bars and placed 1st, 8.250 on beam and tied for 25th 9.325 on floor and placed 8th.  Her final score of 36.350 placed her 6th on all-around.

Ericka J. (Plymouth), scored 9.100 on vault and tied for 26th, 9.050 on uneven bars and tied for 7th, 9.175 on beam and placed 1st, 9.000 on floor and tied for 11th.  Her final score of 36.325 placed her 7th on all-around.

Greta S. (Chanhassen), scored 9.100 on vault and tied for 26th, 8.550 on uneven bars and placed 29th, 8.650 on beam and tied for 9th, 9.250 on floor and tied for 9th.  Her final score of 35.550 placed her tied for 11th on all-around.

Alissa W. (Corcoran), scored 8.675 on vault and placed 67th, 8.575 on uneven bars and tied for 27th, 8.000 on beam and tied for 32nd, 9.00 on floor and tied for 11th.  Her final score of 34.250 placed her tied for 25th on all-around.

Avari W. (Medina), scored 9.025 on vault and tied for 36th, 8.700 on uneven bars and tied for 21th, 7.150 on beam and placed 51st, 8.250 on floor and tied for 46th.  Her final score of 33.125 placed her tied for 42nd on all-around.

Vesna D. (St. Louis Park), scored 8.775 on vault and tied for 62nd, 8.175 on uneven bars and tied for 42nd, 6.900 on beam and tied for 61st, 8.975 on floor and placed 13th.  Her final score of 32.825 placed her 48th on all-around.

Overall session team scored 112.075 to claim a 1st place trophy.

Mini-Hops Gymnastics Level 4 Girls Team

All gymnasts competed as a team, however individually competed against each other by age group for awards.  The brackets are (ages 7-8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13+).  The top three gymnasts’ scores on each event are compiled to total team scores.

Top score for age bracket 7-8 was Ava M. (age 7-8, Plymouth), scored 8.625 and placed 9th on vault, 9.275 and tied for 7th on uneven bars, 9.125 and placed 8th on beam, 9.275 and placed 6th on floor.  Her final score was 36.300 and placed 4th on all-around.

Top score for age bracket 11 was Kaija P. (age 11, Minnetonka), scored 8.225 and tied for 13th on vault, 9.225 and tied for 3rd on uneven bars, 9.100 and placed 6th on beam, 9.050 and tied for 8th on floor.  Her final score was 35.600 and placed 6th on all-around.

Mae M. (age 11, Plymouth) scored 8.125 and tied for 21st on vault, 8.625 and tied for 21st on uneven bars, 9.075 and tied for 7th on beam, 9.000 and placed 11th on floor.  Her final score was 34.825 and placed 10th on all-around.

Ruby G. (age 11, Minneapolis) scored 7.875 and placed 35th on vault, 9.100 on uneven bars and tied for 5th, 8.725 and tied for 22nd on beam, 8.900 and placed 13th on floor.  Her final score was 34.600 and tied for 14th on all-around.

Team acquired a session score of 108.975 to claim a 10th place.

Team acquired a session score of 104.00 to claim a 16th place.
