Girls end their regular season on a good note. The Northern Lights Classic was hosted by Twin Cities Twisters and held at the Minneapolis convention center. According to the Twin Cities Twister, in the three day event there was about 1000 gymnasts competing each day.
Congratulations to Susanna F. (Level 7), Abby F. (Level 7), Chelsea L. (Level 7), Claire M. (Level 7) and Alyssa N. (Level 9), who previously qualified and will compete at the Minnesota State Championships in the coming weeks.

All gymnasts competed as a team, however individually competed against each other by age group for awards. The age brackets were (11 and under, 12 and 13+). The top three gymnasts’ scores on each event are compiled to total team scores

Top score for age 11 and under was Paige M. (Wayzata) scored 8.750 and tied for 17th on vault, 7.300 and place 30th on uneven bars, 9.075 and placed 13th on beam, 9.050 and placed 26th on floor. Final score of 34.175 and placed 26th on all-around.
Top score for age 12 and under was Susanna F. (Minnetonka) scored 8.500 and placed 14th on vault, 9.075 and place 4th on uneven bars, 8.675 and placed 11th on beam, 9.225 and tied for 12th on floor. Final score of 35.475 and placed 8th on all-around.
Claire M. (St. Louis Park, age 12) scored 8.325 and placed 16th on vault, 8.950 and place 6th on uneven bars, 8.700 and placed 10th on beam, 9.325 and placed 9th on floor. Final score of 35.300 and placed 9th on all-around.
Ellie S. (Plymouth, age 12) scored 8.300 and placed 17th on vault, 6.950 and placed 16th on uneven bars, 7.825 and placed 16th on beam, 9.125 and placed 17th on floor. Final score of 32.200 and placed 16th on all-around.
Top score for age 13+ was Chelsea L. (Mound) scored 8.350 and tied for 12th on vault, 8.650 and placed 5th on uneven bars, 9.025 and placed 4th on beam, 9.500 and tied for 2nd on floor. Final score of 35.525 and placed 3rd on all-around.
Team acquired a score of 107.125 to take a 7th place standing.
