Minnetonka City Council Race: Latest Results

Minnetonka residents voted in two city council races Tuesday. Here are the latest vote totals, which are still unofficial.

MINNETONKA, MN — Deb Calvert appears to have won reelection to the Minnetonka City Council, according to unofficial vote totals. With all votes in, Calvert passed the 50 percent mark needed to win in the city's ranked-choice voting system.

Calver ran for "Seat A."

Meanwhile, there are no clear winners in the race for "Seat B." No candidate reached anything close to the necessary 50 percent mark.

If no candidate wins a majority (50% + 1) of first-preference votes, the candidate with the fewest first-preference votes is eliminated, and all first-preference votes for the eliminated candidate are also eliminated. The ballot then proceeds to a second round.

Karen Ahlbrecht: 1,014 votes
