On May 7th, the Rotary Club of Minnetonka presented a $2,000 scholarship to Minnetonka High School student Michael Ho, at the school's annual Awards Night. Dozens of fine students were commended for their accomplishments during the year, and a number of service organizations, such as Rotary and Lions Club, and family foundations awarded scholarships.
Michael excelled at math and science during his time at Minnetonka, and was involved with various robotics and technical competitions and projects. Michael also is studying several foreign languages, has done volunteer work, and was involved in track and field, and wrestling. He will be attending the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus, and hopes to study chemical engineering and microelectronics, with the possibility of medical school or other graduate work someday. He impressed the Minnetonka club with his strong character and work ethic.
The Minnetonka Rotary meets at Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Hwy 7, in Room 233, every Wednesday at 7:15am. For more information go to www.minnetonkarotary.org
