With over 30 years of experience in trauma-informed care and holistic wellness practices, Deborah blends ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches to create safe, supportive environments where real healing can take place. Our retreats — held both locally in Minnesota and internationally — are intentionally designed to help participants slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Through gentle Qigong movement, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, mindset sessions, and meaningful group dialogue, participants gain tools to manage stress, navigate change, and build emotional resilience. A Minnetonka High School student is one of 42 students who have been honored in the state Department of Education's scholar of distinction program. Eric O. Sargent was named a scholar of distinction in the theater arts category. "To earn recognition, a student must complete required work in Minnesota's academic standards, demonstrate mastery of complex subject matter, and apply their knowledge and skills on challenging projects," a news release stated. (The program also recognized students in science, STEM, mathematics, social studies and leadership.) Deputy Commissioner Jessie Montano will be among those honoring the students at a ceremony Saturday at the Perpich Center for Arts Education.
