New Wax Center Offers Complimentary Services This Week
The new European Wax Center in Minnetonka offers head-to-toe waxing services with specially formulated wax this week at no cost before its grand opening Dec. 13.
Regional developers Alicia Wagner and Laura Kottke are so confident in the services offered at the , they are willing to let customers try them for free. Through Dec. 12, people interested can contact the wax center to book their free services as part of Premiere Week at the new location on Ridgedale Drive in Minnetonka.
“We are so confident that you are going to love our services so much that you are going to come back, so we are offering all of our services, head to toe, complimentary,” Wagner said about Premiere Week. The European Wax Center will have its official grand opening on Dec. 13, and even then, there is a chance to try their unique waxing experience at no cost.
Whether you are already waxing regularly or want to try it for the first time, this wax-only service spa offers first time guests a free service in any one of the 250-plus locations nationwide. Men can choose from an eyebrow, ear or nose wax and women can choose from a bikini line, eyebrow or under arm wax.

Unlike some of the scalding and sticky wax variations out there, European Wax Centers use an exclusive wax from Paris – Comfort Wax – that works at bathwarm temperature and clings to the hair, not the skin.
“Our services are quick, but we are all about comfort and relaxation,” Kottke said. “Even though you are in and out, we work to make sure your experience is memorable and the results are long-lasting.” To achieve this, specially trained estheticians use a four-step system that includes cleansing the skin, applying protective oil prior to waxing and a rejuvenating process following the treatment.

While temporary hair removal is the reason people come in for wax services, Wagner said the benefits of waxing goes beyond that.
“The wax is exfoliating and your hair actually grows back finer and fewer each time,” she said. “For the best results, we do say to try it at least twice, but once every 3-4 weeks is the goal.”
Minnetonka is one of three European Wax Center locations currently open in the state, including Plymouth and Lake Calhoun. In January, Kottke and Wagner will open one in Roseville, but they plan to open 30 locations across Minnesota in the future.
In addition to free services during Premiere Week and the promotion for first-time guests, they offer a reward referral program and pre-paid wax packages for guests who frequent the wax center.
