Once Upon a Mattress is a comedic and musical incarnation of the classic “Princess and the Pea” story. First produced on Broadway in 1957 starring Carol Burnett, Once Upon a Mattress continues to be a popular, family-friendly musical in theaters across the country. “This year’s production is looking to be one of our best yet” states Steve Zehr, Director of Fine Arts, who has over 25 years of experience in professional and community theater, “with a great cast of actors from all over the metro area.” Faith Community Theater is in its fourth season of theater production with the support of Faith Church under the direction of Zehr, in an effort to connect church and community to enhance both entities. Previous productions by Faith Community Theater include Bye, Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music and Annie.
