The closing of one pizza shop has paved the way for the opening of a new pizza shop. Papa Murphy’s will open in the former at Westwind Plaza.
“Everything will be new inside,” said owner Jim Wolfe. “We kind of gutted it out.”
The renovations will give the restaurant a typical Papa Murphy’s look.

Wolfe said that customers can expect fresh ingredients and a high quality pizza that customers take home to bake themselves.
Without the costs of ovens and delivery drivers, Wolfe said, more money can go into the food.

“We make our dough fresh every day at every location,” Wolfe said. “We dice our own vegetables every day at the store.”
Papa Murphy’s is set to open Sept. 12, said Wolfe. The grand opening will be Oct. 11 through Oct. 14.
The Minnetonka store will be Wolfe and his wife’s fifteenth store in the Papa Murphy’s franchise. Their first store was in Mankato.
Store hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
