<a href="http://www.hopkinsschools.org/community-education/kids-company-general-information" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Kids and Company</a> students got a hand-on lesson in bike safety from Hopkins and Minnetonka police officers Monday at <a href="http://www.hopkinsschools.org/schools/hopkins-west-junior-high" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Hopkins West Junior High</a>. Students in the program learned the rules of the road, how to ride safely and even how police can become bike officers. The police helped them test their skills in a bicycle course, fit their helmets properly and check that their bikes functioned properly. The lessons were in preparation for Tuesday's "bicycling adventure" between <a href="http://www.minneapolisparks.org/default.asp?PageID=4&amp;parkid=157" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Lynnhurst Park</a> and <a href="http://www.minneapolisparks.org/default.asp?PageID=4&amp;parkid=252" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Minnehaha Falls</a>. Check back with Patch later this week for a video of the 20-mile adventure.
