Minnetonka Police: Twenty-Five Cited During Local Party
Also in this week's police blotter: officers find five weapons in the home of a man who is newly released from jail and prohibited from carrying guns.

June 12
12:18 a.m.: Minnetonka police officers responded to a noise complaint at a residence in the 15500 block of Nursery Drive in Minnetonka. On the scene, officers cited 25 individuals for underage liquor consumption. Their ages varied from 18 and 20-years-old. Most of the individuals were Minnetonka residents, but residents of Hopkins, Osceola, Plymouth and Golden Valley, were also at the party.
June 13
11:12 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Martha Lane after a woman called police to report that her ex-fiance was in violation of the conditions of his prison release because he had a firearm in his possession. After speaking to the city attorney's office, officers learned that the man had been recently arrested for domestic assault and that a condition of his release from jail had been that he must secure any firearms in a gun safe and also refrain from carrying any firearms. At the man's Minnetonka home, officers found five weapons in his possession—none of which were in a locked gun safe. The weapons included a 9mm pistol, three pellet guns and a shotgun which the man said, "he had forgotten about" under his bed. He also told police that he had an uncased pistol "up north." The man was cited and released.
June 14
1:44 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 12421 Wayzata Boulevard () for reported drunkenness.
5:49 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the Bellgrove Apartments in the 10100 block of Minnetonka Boulevard for reported drug activity. On the scene, officers found a man sitting in his car who appeared to be smoking marijuana. Officers searched that man's apartment, located within the complex, and found a computer that had been allegedly stolen from a home in Edina. The case remains under review and detectives have been in touch with Edina police regarding the incident.
10:29 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 5200 block of Forest Road for reported drunkenness.
June 15
10:53 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 10801 Red Circle Drive (Crosstown Office Building) for reported drug activity. A 32-year-old woman from Bloomington was arrested for driving with a revoked license, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.
12:38 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 13201 Ridgedale Drive (Target) for a parking complaint. A 69-year-old woman from South Carolina was cited for unauthorized use of a handicap permit.
June 16
7:23 p.m.: Two males from Brooklyn Park, ages 20 and 23-years-old, were arrested at 13201 Ridgedale Drive (Target) for check forgery, a felony, and obstructing the police by providing a false name, a gross misdemeanor.
June 17
1:26 a.m: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to I-494 and CR 62 for a reported DWI. A 44-year-old man from Shakopee was arrested for 4th degree DWI and DWI test refusal, a gross misdemeanor.
1:49 a.m.: a 22-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested at 2801 Hopkins Crossroad () for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.
9:04 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 10550 Wayzata Boulevard (office buildings) for a reported burglary. A laptop was reported stolen from a business. There was no forced entry into the business but the incident set off the alarm system. The case is under investigation.
2:58 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 11600 block of Oberlin Road for a reported burglary. On the scene a woman reported that her credit card and a pair of earrings had been stolen by someone who she believed entered her home while she was taking out the trash. During the interview with police, the woman found the earrings, which she believed had been stolen.
7:36 p.m.: a 58-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested at his home in the 14600 block of Woodhill Terrace for 4th degree assault of a police officer, a gross misdemeanor, and 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor. This individual was charged with terroristic threats in 1998 and violating a restraining order in 2005.
10:40 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 15300 block of Holdridge Drive for a reported DWI. A 36-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested for 4th degree DWI, 3rd degree DWI test refusal, possession of drug paraphernalia and small amount of marijuana.
June 18
12:02 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 2801 Hopkins Crossroad () for reported drug activity.
1:41 a.m.: a 28-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested at Hopkins Crossroad and Live Oak Road for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.
2:32 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 19000 block of Stratford Road for a reported burglary. On the scene, officers met a man who said his mountain bike had been stolen. The man could not remember if he had locked it.
5:05 p.m.: a 50-year-old woman from Maple Grove was arrested at 12441 Wayzata Boulevard () for shoplifting theft, a gross misdemeanor.
June 19
12:22 a.m.: a 31-year-old female from Minnetonka was arrested at I-494 and I-394 for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.
12:39 a.m.: a 38-year-old man from Hopkins was arrested at Bren Road East and Bren Road West for 4th degree DWI.
2:05 a.m.: a 40-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested at I-394 and Ridgedale Drive for 4th degree DWI. This individual was charged with public consumption in 1995.
12:12 p.m.: a 63-year-old man from Minneapolis was arrested at Cartway Lane and Plymouth Road for 3rd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor.
