Watching the Edina Hornets and the Minnetonka Skippers boys hockey game was like watching two heavyweight fighters exchanging blows, with neither able to land a haymaker.
In a fast-paced game filled with hard checks and physical play along the boards, the score was tied 2-2 until early in the final period. At the 16:27 mark in the third, the Hornets scored to take a 3-2 lead. The Skippers could only muster 22 shots on goal against Edina's swarming defense.
