Soucheray Rebukes Jensen For Holocaust Remarks In State Fair Interview
The Pioneer Press columnist also called out Matt Birk, saying; "I've got news for you. Women don't intend to stay barefoot and pregnant."

MINNESOTA STATE FAIRGROUND — Longtime Pioneer Press columnist Joe Soucheray offered unsolicited advice to the Republican candidate for governor and his running mate during an interview at the Minnesota State Fair.
"If I hear any more of this holocaust stuff, I'll never talk to you again," Soucheray said Thursday, referencing Jensen's comments comparing Gov. Tim Walz's COVID-19 lockdown policies to Nazi Germany.
"That was utter embarrassing BS. I don't stand for it. I can't take it."

Soucheray then directed his focus to Birk, saying; "I've got news for you. Women don't intend to stay barefoot and pregnant." Soucheray was addressing Birk's comments about abortion and women's careers from earlier this summer.
"Thank you," Birk responded. "Very good. Do you feel better, Joe?" Soucheray then moved on to other topics.

The exchange happened during a taping of Soucheray's podcast, "Garage Logic," and a video of it was posted to Twitter.
Soucheray followed up the interview with a comment on Twitter:
Maybe I was hard on Jensen and Birk today but they have to get their act together if they expect to win.

Jensen and Birk are hoping to unseat Democrat Gov. Tim Walz in November's general election. However, their campaign has been marred by controversial comments from the ticket.
Meanwhile, Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan are running a relatively quiet campaign.
The analysts at the Cook Political Report say Minnesota's race for governor is "likely" to go to Democrats on Election Day.
