• Man accused in stabbing at U of M Morris said he was "trying to kill" percussion instructor, charges say (cbsnews.com) — A University of Minnesota Morris percussion instructor was stabbed Tuesday afternoon inside the Humanities Fine Arts building, and a 21-year-old student now faces attempted murder and assault charges. Police say the suspect admitted he bought a knife, planned the attack, and tried to stab the instructor in vital areas. The victim suffered multiple cuts and stab wounds but survived and was taken to a hospital.
