8-Year-Old Minnesota Girl Killed In Crash
Two others involved in the crash suffered life-threatening injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

CLAREMONT, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash that killed an 8-year-old girl in Dodge County. Shortly after 7 a.m. Friday a Mercury Milan was stopped on westbound Highway 14 waiting to turn left.
While waiting, it was struck from the rear by a Hummer also traveling westbound, authorities said.
One Milan passenger — Emerson Melissa Harberts, 8, of Dodge Center — was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two others in the Milan — a 12 year-old boy and a 43-year-old woman from Dodge Center — were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Hummer, a 24-year-old man from Dodge Center, had no apparent injuries, according to police.
