A Different Kind Of Bully -
In checking the dictionary, a bully is someone that takes advantage of someone weaker. Well, perhaps bullys are also those who totally disregard the rights of others. They think the rules don’t apply to them. There is an attitude of arrogance or perhaps it’s just plain stupidity. It really doesn’t matter as this type of mindset is probably incurable.
In the past few weeks, there have been a number of incidents at dog parks. Dog attacks where other pets have been injured - even fatally. Owners choose, yes they choose, not to monitor the activities of their pets. Owners are in a state of entitlement.

If you use dog parks, and see disconnected owners, my suggestion is short and sweet - leave. Dominant dogs and self-absorbed owners can be a lethal mix. Much like road rage, it’s useless to try to win this battle. Take your dog and leave immediately. Staying not only puts you at risk but you are choosing , yes it is your choice, to put your dog at risk also.
I could go on about dog park etiquette. It isn’t necessary to those that are respectful and responsible. Those that don’t care, well they just don’t care. You enter at your own risk.

Yes, you have rights. Yes, it is a public place for owners and pets. The down side is potential injury to you or your pets. Not worth it. If you see behavior that makes you uneasy - why not follow the direction of a bully - beat it! Leave immediately.
Be responsible. Have your pets spayed or neutered.
