Community Corner

A "Curbside Chat" with Strong Towns

Chuck Marohn of Strong Towns is hosting a “Curbside Chat” in Northfield on February 17.  A Curbside Chat is a presentation, followed by discussion, which includes:

  • Demographic and economic triggers forcing changes in the way we grow and develop
  • The “dead ideas” we need to overcome in order to make wise decisions
  • What the coming new economy is likely to look like at the local level
  • What communities can do to position themselves for renewed prosperity
Curbside Chats are designed specifically for city officials and community leaders, but the public is welcome and encouraged.

Strong Towns is a non-partisan 501(c)3 nonprofit that advocates for a grass-roots, citizen-driven approach for increasing cities' fiscal resilience and maximizing return on community investments.
