Doreen Ness, 90 of Northfield, passed away Wednesday morning, May 15, 2013, at the Northfield Retirement Community.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5PM Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday one hour prior to the funeral.
Survivors include her children: Dale and wife Linda, Brad and wife Kathy, Carol Babel, all of Northfield, Kari of St. Paul; 8 grandchildren: Sara (Terrence) Flynn, Chris Blomberg, Laura (Nick) Thom, Krista (Tim) Mullen, Anders (Stephanie) Ness, Julien Babel, Alec Babel, Maren Babel; 3 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Timothy Flynn, Charlie Mullen; her brother, Donald (Dorothy) Dale of Moorhead; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 1996, her brothers Stuart and Richard Dale, and her sister Genevieve Trooien.

Memorials are preferred to the Stanley & Doreen Ness Scholarship at St. Olaf College, St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Northfield Retirement Community.
