Wednesday Field Trip Lineup Announced for Northfield YMCA’s Y Navigators Summer Camp

The Northfield Area Family YMCA has announced the lineup for Wednesday field trips for this summer’s Y Navigators camp.

Y Navigators is a flexible three-, four- or five-day-a-week camp program operated by the Northfield YMCA at the Northfield National Guard Armory.

The camp is available from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Programmed activities are planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each week day.

The first day of camp is Wednesday, June 5. Registration is underway.

Here is the field trip lineup:

• June 5—Carleton Arboretum
• June 12—Como Zoo
• June 19—Fossil Hunting
• June 26—RAD Zoo
• July 1—Northfield Police/Fire Station (this week’s field trip is Monday because of the July 4 holiday)
• July 10—Minnesota Science Museum
• July 17—RIce County Fair
• July 24—Big Woods
• July 31—Pump it up
• Aug. 7—The Landing
• Aug. 14—Minnesota Childrens Museum (at the Northfield Armory)
• Aug. 21—Skateville
• Aug. 28—The Works Museum

In addition to Y Navigators and its regular slate of sports and preschool classes, the Northfield YMCA offers two other camps during the summer months: Prairie and Wood 1/2-day camp and Wee Camp.
