On Monday, deputies were dispatched to a small engine aircraft that had flipped over while landing at the Airlake Airport.
The student piloting the Cessna 120 and instructor received minor injuries from the crash and were able to walk away from the hard landing. Responding from the DCSO were Sergeant Pat Enderlein and Deputy Bruce Lohmann, along with Detective Thomas Jacobson. The Federal Aviation Administration and the Metropolitan Airports Commission also responded to the crash and are involved in the investigation.
