ARTech Names its Next Director

Longtime faculty member Ryan Krominga starts July 1 as the new head of school.

The on Thursday announced that Ryan Krominga, a longtime member of the faculty at the charter school, has been named its next director.

The announcement came at a special board meeting.

“Krominga’s qualifications rose above the other candidates with his proven dedication to project-based learning, his leadership experience with EDVisions in the area of charter school finance and management, and his commitment to high academic standards,” said Janine Nelson, school board treasurer.

Krominga has spent time at ARTech since it opened in 2003 as the business manager, math specialist and high school adviser. He has a Master’s in Education with an emphasis on technology and staff development.

Krominga bested two other finalists.

“We were pleased to have such a range of highly qualified candidates apply for this position,” said school board member Maria Musachio. “It was a careful and thoughtful process.”
