The self-described democratic socialist says his "Medicare for All" plan will "end the corporate greed in health care."

In a tweet linking to a MinnPost opinion piece criticizing the Mayo's "disinvestment" in rural America, the self-described democratic socialist criticized the hospital system and said his "Medicare for All" plan will "end the corporate greed in health care."

In the MinnPost article, Anna Thompson Hajdik states that "Mayo and other health care systems claim that their decisions to close clinics and hospitals are driven by a lack of demand for these services, pure and simple. But in making these purely economic decisions, they contribute mightily to the hollowing out of rural America and essentially undermine their core institutional mission."
