PTSD and Jesse James

On Friday September 5th and Saturday September 6th the authors of a new book on Jesse James will have their books for sake at the Northfield VFW. The first two volumes of “Veterans in Crisis” series of books on the history of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was released in 2024 and were given free to disabled veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD. Volume Three of “Veterans in Crisis” series was released in 2025 and includes a psychological profile and PTSD analysis of Jesse James and members of the brutal James-Younger gang that was defeated in Northfield, Minnesota on September 7, 1876. Volume Three provides unique overview of the impact of PTSD on both Jesse James and an entire generation of Americans, North and South, from the devastating terror and trauma of Civil War brutality and violence.
