Quint Pettigrew, of Waseca, a retired long time educator from the Mankato Area, will speak on The Battle of Franklin (TN). That battle, in 1864, was called "Pickett's Charge of the West", when 20,000 troops under General John Bell Hood lost six generals in one day. The casualties and losses for the Union was 2326 and for the Confederacy it was 6252 men. It was a disaster for the Confederate States Army.
There will be a question and answer session and coffee with Pumpkin Pie.
