Guest speaker is Dean Erdahl. He will speak about the Conspiracies on Lincoln’s Assassination. The President was to be kidnapped - originally. By the same man who then killed him.
Mr. Erdahl is a retired Public School Teacher and a State Representative from the Litchfield area. He is or has served on many committees as a Representative, including the Committee to Commemorate Minnesota's connection with the Civil War.
Mr. Urdahl has written four novels about the U. S. Dakota War of 1862: Uprising, Retribution, Pursuit and Conspiracy. Urdahl's family helped settle Litchfield Township in 1856, two years before Minnesota became the 32nd state. The conflict started across the lake from Urdahl's home; his great-great-grandfather buried the conflict's first five victims. He is also an occasional Civil War Re-enactor.
