Carleton Arboretum Bird Count and Volunteer Work Event

Saturday, May 16th

Carleton College Cowling Arboretum is hosting TWO great events on Saturday, May 16th!

6-8:30 am, join in the Annual Bird Count! Help listen for and census birds in the Arb; no experience required. Meet at the Arboretum Office (710 Three Oaks Drive, near the Carleton water tower) at 6 and return for coffee, muffins, and bird-sighting stories by 8:30.

9am-noon, volunteer to help remove invasive shrubs from the Upper Arb to make the forests a better place for wildflowers to grow. Meet at 9 at the bridge over Spring Creek along the paved trail, just beyond the intersection of Second and Oak Streets toward the tennis courts.
