Mayor Graham has signed an emergency declaration for the City of Northfield today. This declaration is good for three days, and is done as a precautionary measure as we prepare for rising water due to heavy rain over the last few days and further precipitation. The declaration kicks in the City of Northfield’s Emergency Action Plan and statutory requirements that may need to occur due to flooding. Northfield is experiencing a “guarded situation”. We are not sure how high the water will get or the impact of flooding in the City.
