Deadline Extended for Vacancies on Northfield Boards and Commissions
Northfield is seeking applicants to fill volunteer positions on several city advisory boards and commissions.

Northfield is seeking applicants to fill volunteer positions on several city advisory boards and commissions, including the city's representatives for the Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Service Joint Powers Board. At the end of December, the terms of several members of the city’s boards, commissions and committees will expire.
More than 100 citizen members annually provide valuable leadership to the city through their
participation on these groups and special study committees, according to a news release. Members participate in advisory, regulatory, governance and oversight activities in a wide variety of fields.
The City Council is committed to appointing citizens who reflect and represent diverse segments of the community. The application review process will begin immediately.

Applications may be turned in throughout the year, however the deadline for those wanting to be considered for the openings at the beginning of 2017 has been extended to 4:00 pm on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016.
