DEATH NOTICE: Lillian L. "Dinky" Jacobson, 94

Lillian L. "Dinky" Jacobson, age 94, of Northfield, MN, died peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

Lillian L. “Dinky” Jacobson, age 94, of Northfield, MN, died peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Lillian was born in Prairie Farm, WI, and grew up in Red Wing, MN, where her father was general manager of the Farmers Store. She majored in biology and physical education at St. Olaf College where she met and fell in love with Paul G. Jacobson. The two graduated from St. Olaf in 1941 and were married in 1942. In their married life, Paul’s career in business and insurance took the family to homes around the country, including Rockford, IL, Ardmore and Hershey, PA, and St. Paul, Hopkins, and Little Canada, MN. They especially loved to spend time at the cottage they built in Stone Lake, WI.
Lillian was preceded in death by husband Paul, her parents Alfred and Gena (Husby) Ingebrigtsen, and sisters Geneva Troselius and Ethel Lavik
Lillian is survived by children Ann (Lenny) Wolfe of Bradenton, FL, Stan (Janet) Jacobson of St. Paul, MN, CJ Jacobson (Rolf Thompson) of Wabasha, MN, and Jan (Stephen) Erickson, of Rochester, MN; grandchildren Maren (Eyal Kedar) Wolfe, Rebecca (Richard) Saffell, Rolf (Meghan) Jacobson, Andrew (Hannah) Jacobson, Kaj Thompson, Norah Thompson, Maia Erickson, and Skye Erickson; and great-grandchildren Evan, Benjamin and Emilie Wolfe-Kedar, Leo and Logan Saffell, and Espen Jacobson.
Services will be held at the Northfield Retirement Community Chapel on Sunday, June 30, at 3 P.M., with Pastor Kristine Braaten-Lee presiding. Music will be provided by Rolf Thompson, Arndt Braaten, and Rhonda Reece. Visitation will be at the NRC Chapel one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church in Stone Lake, Wisconsin, and the NRC Chapel.
Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home.
