Diane Kanzenbach receives MOHR award from the Minnesota Organization for Habilitation and Rehabilitation

NORTHFIELD, Minnesota  (June 17, 2013) -  Diane Kanzenbach, Job Coach at Epic Enterprise in Dundas, MN, has recently received a statewide MOHR Award as an exceptional Direct Support Professional.   The MOHR (Minnesota Organization for Habilitation and Rehabilitation) Awards event was held at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum on June 4th.  The MOHR Award is presented to only a few individuals who have demonstrated exemplary service and have impacted the lives of people with disabilities.  

Senator John Hoffman and Representative Laurie Halverson were also honored as champions for causes affecting people with developmental disabilities.  Other recipients of the MOHR Award were Lauren Hughes (Midwest Special Services), Birane Diop (TSE), and John McLaughlin (UDAC).

Diane Kanzenbach recognizes the potential of people with all kinds of abilities, providing encouragement and consistent, positive support.   As an Epic Enterprise Job Coach, Diane oversees a group of workers with developmental disabilities at Earth-Kind (www.earth-kind.com), a production company in Faribault.  Diane is a person who is very committed to her job, ensuring that the people she supports meet goals and expectations, helping to make the business as profitable as possible. 

Epic is a private, not-for-profit company serving Rice County and the surrounding area. For over 35 years, Epic Enterprise has been providing supports to people with disabilities. Currently, over 100 people are offered a variety of supports to meet employment aspirations and educational, social and recreational needs. Epic’s mission is to invest in individuals with disabilities as they pursue opportunities to actively participate in the broader community.
