Area residents of Swedish descent, or those interested in Swedish customs, are invited to attend the 36th annual Lucia Fest on Friday, Dec. 9, sponsored by the Northfield Swedish Club. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 500 Third St. W., Northfield. It includes a potluck supper, a Lucia processional and pageant, live fiddle music, the singing of Swedish carols, and folk dancing.
Everyone – young and old, singles, and families – is invited to attend. Bring your own tableware, two dishes to pass, and one dozen cookies. For more information, call Wendy Smith at 507-664-9304.

Max Casson, Trey Coudret, Creegan Croone, Peder Lindell, David Rhoades and Connor Scott will be the star boys.
