On Saturday, May 7, community members who have experienced the loss of suicide, as well as experts and clergy, will join for "A Day of Reflection: Suicide and its Lasting Effects on Us All" at First United Church of Christ, 300 Union St., Northfield. Activities begin at 3:30 p.m. with a panel discussion with experts in the study of suicide, local clergy and survivors of suicide. A sandwich and salad supper and fellowship time will follow. Then, at about 7 p.m., a Service of Reflection and Healing -- featuring music, readings, time for quiet reflection and an opportunity to honor those who have committed suicide -- will be celebrated in the church's sanctuary.
