film on life of Justice Rosalie Wahl "Girl from Birch Creek"

Film screening - Justice Rosalie Wahl Documentary, 11 AM.


League of Women Voters and Carleton College are showing a documentary on Carleton honorary degree holder (1987) Rosalie Wahl-- in the Weitz Center for Creativity, 320 3rd Street East, on April 27 (Saturday) at 11 am.

The event is free and open to the public. John Kaul, co-producer of "The Girl from Birch Creek - The Life and Legacy of Justice Rosalie Wahl," will be on hand to take questions following the hour-long presentation.

Justice Rosalie Wahl overcame hardship and tragedy to fight for civil rights, women’s rights, and equal access to justice. She was the first woman appointed to theMinnesota Supreme Court (by Governor Rudy Perpich).
