In this program the SPCO new Artistic Partner Thomas Zehetmair shares the stage with oboist Heinz Holliger for Elliott Carter’s Oboe Concerto. Harpist Ursula Holliger joins them for Frank Martin’s Three Dances. Zehetmair also leads two works by Haydn – Symphony No. 99 and the Emperor String Quartet, which includes a melody that appears in the German national anthem.
