Among the nine story quilts Jean’s mother created is a quilt about a typical day in a one-room schoolhouse. This amazingly detailed quilt, called The Purple Sandwich, depicts the classroom and yard around it. We will find out what is hidden in the secret pocket on the back of the quilt and what the purple sandwich is all about as Jean shares the delightful stories the quilt depicts, taking us all back to the days of country school.
