Shotokan Karate Class

Shotokan Karate is a Japanese martial art that teaches self-esteem, self-discipline, self-defense and self-confidence.

It is a non-contact martial art that improves balance and muscle tone, increases flexibility and stimulates the cardiovascular system in a safe and effective manner. By learning how to "move form your center" you will notice an improvement in coordination and breathing, plus an improved sense of well being. The class is taught by Tom Meagher, a Japan Fulbright teacher and 3rd degree black belt with over 20 years of karate teaching experience.

For ages 14 and above. You need to register online for this class. You can do that by going to www.northfieldymca.org and click on the registration button on the left or calling the office at 645-0088 or the Wellness Center at 664-7349 and we can register you too.
