Sunday Concert, Bob Kahn, Pianist

The Northfield Senior Center is offering a Winter Concert Series, at 3pm on three Sunday afternoons.   The first of this series will be a piano concert on February 3, played by Bob Kahn.

Given the proximity to Valentine's Day, Kahn will start the concert with music of the Classical Romantics, such as Brahms, Grieg, Rachmaninoff and Liszt.  The second part of the concert will include music all about water, "a nod to Minnesota, with its 10,000 lakes, the Mississippi River and all of our snow and ice."

Kahn started his music career at the age of 16, playing the organ for church services.  Since then, he has played the organ for many churches, taught piano to 100s of students, taught piano and served as choral director at the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, WI.  Now retired, his love of music continues.
