For kids 9 and up. Parents are welcome to register too.
As kids grow they constantly experience changes in mind and body. Einstein posited that everything is energy and energy or qi is always changing. Qi gong is an ancient energy practice, where one learns to take the energy (QI) and transform (GONG) it to improve one's health and well-being. Studies on children have found that qigong can help increase concentration, reduce stress, improve one's self image, increase creativity and strengthen the immune system. Participants will learn techniques to feel their qi, balance it, and to quiet their minds through simple meditations. Plus they will learn acupressure points to help them run farther, re-energize, and calm their emotions. Mary is a Certified SFQ Teacher, Master Healer, and advanced student of Chunyi Lin, founder of Spring Forest Qigong. Call 507-650-0106 to register or stop in the Co-op.
