Seven of Minnesota’s nine species of woodpeckers can be found right here at River Bend! Come to this public program to find out more about this interesting group of birds. The program will start inside discussing identification, calls/sounds, and basic life history. Then we will head outside to look for woodpeckers and signs they have made. The program will last an hour and a half. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk mostly on trail for an hour. This program will take place rain or shine.
Open to all ages. $2 per person or $6 per family; free for River Bend members.
