Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued, But Nothing Severe Predicted

Northfield’s rainy weather pattern appears to ending soon.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Northfield and the surrounding area, but no major weather events are being predicted.

Here is the text of the outlook:

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST WISCONSIN AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED WEAK THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY
AFTER A COUPLE QUIET WEATHER DAYS TO CLOSE OUT THE WORK

WEEK...THUNDERSTORMS ARE AGAIN POSSIBLE THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

The weather service’s forecast is calling for chances of showers Tuesday and Wednesday, then clear weather on Thurday and Friday.

The long-range forecast for the Memorial Day weekend has a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday through Monday.
