J.C. Penney To Close Eight MN Locations, Including Faribault

J.C. Penney announced Friday it will be closing 138 stores, including its location in Faribault. In total, eight locations in Minnesota will be closed.

Approximately 5,000 positions nationwide will be impacted by the store closures, most of which will occur in June.

Most affected stores will begin the liquidation process on April 17, according to a news release.

• Faribo West Mall, Faribault
• Irongate Plaza, Hibbing
• Hutchinson Mall, Hutchinson
• Red Wing Mall, Red Wing

• Freestanding, Winona
