Library: 18 Best Industries for Starting a Business

Thinking of starting a new business? The following list was compiled by Inc. Magazine and published in their April 14, 2011 issue.

Some of the industries on this list, such as iPhone apps are not surprising, but others such as government services seem counter-intuitive. The Inc. Magazine article says, “According to the [federal] administration's Recovery.gov website, by 2012, two-thirds of the approximately $23 billion allocated to individual states will reflect investments in local infrastructure, creating opportunities for start-ups to bid on projects that involve transportation, broadband technologies, and clean water, among others.”
