Massage in Schools Program Community Introduction Event

MISP is a unique & successful tool used in schools around the world to help reduce bully/violence and increase & self esteem

The Massage in Schools Program began in Europe over 10 years ago. Now the Massage in Schools Association-USA will host an event on 8\11\2015 at the Northfield Senior Center 1651 Jefferson Pkwy, Northfield, MN 55057 @ 6pm Room 104 to introduce this unique and successful tool for providing nurturing touch in the classroom setting. When implemented, this program helps to reduce children’s stress levels and works to create a calm and productive learning environment. As a result, levels of aggression and bullying have been reported to decrease and students have shown an increase in confidence and self esteem.

MISP work with children 4 -12 years old. Adults only please for this informational event, thank you.

The MISA-USA’s mission is to provide high quality and professional training to all teachers and caring adults willing to bring nurturing touch into schools. The Massage in Schools Program is an approved continuing education provider through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

The Massage in Schools Association was co-founded by Sylvie Hetu and Mia Elmsater in 2000, and now has 64 instructors in 15 states around the nation including Minnesota.
