Minnesota Once Again Tops U.S. In Voter Participation
Minnesota beat out second-place Colorado by a full percentage point.

MINNESOTA — It's official, Minnesota will hold the title as No. 1 in country for voter participation. After certifying the results of the 2018 general election, Secretary of State Steve Simonannounced Tuesday that 2,611,365 Minnesotans voted in the 2018 midterms.
Voters in the Land of 10,000 Lakes surpassed the next closest state, Colorado, by more than a full percentage point. A total of 64.25 percent of eligible Minnesotans participated in the 2018 General Election.
This year saw the highest percentage turnout in a non-presidential election in Minnesota since 2002, and the highest total number of midterm voters ever.
